Are You Mom-Shaming Yourself? The difference between Mom Guilt and Mom Shame
Show Notes Chapter Markers

Mom-guilt was discussed in episode 4, but I didn't dive into the difference between mom-guilt and mom-shame. More often we are calling our feelings of shame, mom-guilt, in order to generalize the difficulty of motherhood. This, along with picture perfect images of motherhood in the media and online, often causes moms, especially isolated new moms, to feel worse, like they are not good enough and never can be.

Are you Mom-shaming yourself? Listen to hear my story of anxiety manifesting in feelings of failure, lack of connection, anger, and rage which I didn't realize wasn't just normal mom-guilt, but actually shame. Learn how to identify feelings of shame and work through them. Listen to ideas on how to catch yourself before you head into a downward spiral of negativity.
